This is Norm Eisen, who works in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building but, according to WaPo, makes 15 to 20 emergency jaunts over to the White House every day. Why? He’s the Administration’s ethics advisor — AKA “Mr. No” and “The Fun Sponge.”
Remember the Zuckerman Spaeder firm that represented the Rigsby sisters for a time (and got involved in a suit/countersuit that Dickie Scruggs finally settled after he went to prison)? Eisen left his partnership (and big salary) there to become Team Obama’s killjoy.

Eisen presumably played a role in yesterday’s news that Sullivan & Cromwell’s H. Rodgin Cohen had his nomination as #2 at Treasury withdrawn.
Some folks are starting to think this ethics-vetting may be a little too strict for (especially) Treasury’s good. But after reading Yves Smith’s post on Cohen, I’m pretty happy he got stopped on the doorstep.
Refresh my recollection, did the honorable Richard Scruggs owe this guy money and try to stiff him? What kind of vetting did he apply to the noble Cori and Kerri before taking up their cause?
