afotl 4, WHAT ridicule? The only ones catching it that I see are the standard “all elected officials in Mississippi.”

I know you’ve got a sense of humor down in there somewhere. Seems to me a remember a flash or two of it in times past. What better time to break it out than St. Paddy’s?

Whoa, guys. Y’all have to realize that St Patrick Day parades on the Coast are more akin to Mardi Gras parades than to traditional St Patrick Day parades. Exaggerated or even satirical attire is commonplace, if not frankly encouraged. I know Steve Simpson, and Steve knows what he’s doing, and understands the nature of the celebration. Lighten up a little.

Come on, afotl-4, anyone who wears a white tux with matching top hat & shoes, green vest/bowtie combo with a sash inspired by Ireland’s flag is asking for a bit of ridicule….nothing personal, but Simpson could learn a thing or two about St. Patrick’s Day fashion from Jackson’s Malcolm “Mal” White.

I think that should be the standard uniform for all elected officials in Mississippi.
