ThirdSouth just ran across a document from 2005 in the N.D. Miss. (Greenville Division) case known as (P.L. and Shirley) Blake v. State Bank & Trust of Greenwood, about which he and I hope someone here might “edify” us further.
Which judge’s scrawl is that gracing this 4-page order? The lawyers who approved it “as to form” are, as you see, Bill Kirksey (for Roberts Wilson), John Daniels (for the Blakes), and Charlie Merkel (for Alwyn Luckey).
Anyone?
That’s easy. There’s a whole ton of documents like that, all about efforts to investigated Mr. Blake’s bank records as a part of the Wilson litigation. You can find ones like them on the docket of the Northern District of Alabama, too, plus other satellite litigation over whether Blake (and the Mrs.) have to submit to depositions.
District Judge W. Allen Pepper, Jr.
Makes you wonder what was in those bank records.
Okay, thanks, y’all. Somebody just called to explain in a little more detail: here the Blakes were trying to quash the subpoena of their bank records (they and these records residing out-of-district as to the Luckey/Wilson S.D. Miss. case), so they did so in N.D. Miss./Greenville, proper venue for them.
Not much. The money had been transferred to other accounts.
How much money? A transfer out would have an amount, wouldn’t it?
From what I understand almost all of it. PL calimed it went to joint accounts or accounts with his kids but I am not sure that was ever verified. judge didn’t let them pursue much more as it appeared at the time to be an interesting but not relevant rabbit trail.
