Right back at ya, NMC. Merry Christmas, Happy Hannakuh, and Happy Holidays to lotus and all here at folo.
This has been a particularly wonderful Christmas celebration for me and my family so far, with the focus on the true religious meaning of the holiday, and on the kids in the family, even more emphasized this year due to the poor economy and much less influence of commercialization. I could get used to this.
I attended a Christmas Eve service last night in a small little Methodist Church in Keo, AR, which has become one of our family traditions. Every year the service is so touching and meaningful that it brings tears to my eyes and goose bumps, reminding me of what this is all about, and how fortunate I am to live in this great country and enjoy the freedoms for which so many have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
God bless all.
Merry Christmas everyone!
You too, jester and afotl — blessings upon you and your loves!
Well, I just rolled in here for a cig&blog break, settled for a minute, then from the kitchen came A Sound I Recognize.
Uh-huh: JD nummin’ on my Christmas Lights Tart. Its remnant is now safe in the cabinet, and please don’t mention this to my dinner company.
Hope you and O can both resolve to give up cigarettes next year. What with Rossmiller/State Farm retiring, and Alan trying to sound like Rossmiller, we need a blog where all are welcome.
Thanks for the moral support, More Cowbell (I need it).
Rossmiller retired and Alan’s trying to sound like him? Any idea what went with David? What’s Alan been doing that sounds like him? I gotta catch up.
Anyhow, yepper, pull up a chair and tell us what’s on your mind any time you like.
