Rodney @ 9: No ... the court does not serve warrants. The US Marshals, FBI, DEA, ICE, or other federal agencies serve federal warrants; state sheriffs usually serve warrants in state cases.

Sometimes it goes to hell in a handbasket:

I sure nevuh thought we'd see this headline. How sweet it is! I wanna see that video, too, Rodney.

Meantime-back in Memphis where Obama was almost served a bench warrant. Nope, I'm not kidding. Apparently a Mphs Code Enforcement officer cited him (on Nov. 4th) for illegally posting campaign signs. Problem is-we had no official BHO presence in the county. It was all run by the local Dems.
hmmmph

taking on the prison industrial complex. Hmmm, I'm impressed. Taking on Cheney, even more impressed. I want to see him in black and whites someday.

Prison stock is valued by "beds filled" from what I understand, like hotel stock. That's why life sentences and mandatory minimums are so important and valuable to the prison executives. And the lobby to keep it going is huge. The war on drugs is the fuel. The prison guard lobby is as powerful as the NRA from what I understand. Three stikes is the prison stock investor's best friend. The moving sidewalk from courtroom to prison has worked well. Scrapping judicial review, lowering ages to be charged as adults, direct waive, no parole, long probations, as well as voter disenfranchisement are all part of the plan to keep prisons full and to build more, more and more. Recidivism is high, which is "good" too. In fact, Walnut Grove is the training ground for Parchman. Why would anyone want to mess with that? Kids aren't even required to get a GED. Only if they want to. Same with therapy. It's a choice. Family visits, 3 hours twice per month. Exorbitant phone rates. Why make kids do anything they don't choose to do. I mean cards is fine. It's prepares one for Parchman and picking peas all day.

Food brokers are buying food that doesn't meet FDA requirements which is one arms length away from the alley dumpster, and selling it to the prisons.

I can honestly say from my experience with juvenile offenders, they are skinny and starving. Most lose 25 lbs after they go in. Most have no canteen. It's always a fight for food. I donate to alot of canteen funds and buy the kids special packages when they come up. It's just not right, they've made mistakes in their lives but should starvation and rancid food be part of the punishment? I guess Dick thinks so. He could use to lose a few meals. And look how grumpy he still is? Even with a full stomach? I mean, the kids I speak with are in such better spirits than him, and they are starving, have nothing but can still laugh and smile. Why is he so GD grumpy? greedy and crabby? He has everything he could ever want. Can't he smile at all? What would make that old man smile? Some people never have their fair share.
