Two moments in the Obama campaign

November 16th, 2008 @ 1:55 pm - by lotus · 1 Comment

At NYT Magazine, Ron Suskind tells of the beginning of the Obama Era — the campaign. This piece is quiet, you might almost say sneaky, its two high points focusing on an early time and a late one. I hadn’t heard of the early one before, but the late one is the final rally in Manassas, where Obama closed out with his priceless “Fired up! Ready to go!” yarn. Turns out, though, that to get there, he’d had to pull off equal wizardry at an even more crucial moment a year ago, back in Iowa.

Bet you’ll enjoy this read and remember it for a long time.

That, my dear, is the difference between a Leader and a politician. Wow.
