Middendorf’s, the great catfish place in Manchac, Louisiana, on I-55 north of New Orleans is reopening for the first time since it was flooded during the hurricane last month. They are reopening in the old building and will have to rebuild the new one higher to avoid flooding. Their website says they will be operating in their old hours 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM. I’ve read that they’ve saved the great fixtures and wood from the old place and will be reinstalling it in the new.
