From the Anchorage Daily News, word much more likely to affect Sarah Palin’s future than any debate with Joe Biden:
An Anchorage judge today refused to halt the Legislature’s investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin and denied the state attorney general’s attempt to throw out legislative subpoenas.
Superior Court Judge Peter Michalski heard arguments from both sides this morning and ruled just before 5 p.m. this afternoon.
“I think it’s great. It’s a big day for the state of Alaska,” said Peter Maassen, the lawyer representing the Legislative Council, which ordered the investigation. …
“Once the toothpaste is out of the tube, it’s hard to get back in.” (Haldeman to John Dean in 1973). Methinks Governor Palin is soon to experience a fate similar to that of President Nixon and a few others in his inner circle. For those of you too young to remember, these were Republicans who behaved similarly to those who are now in the White House, and those who wish to move in there.
Well-now an emergency appeal was filed with the Alaska Supreme Court and they’re asking for a decision by end of business today.
