Jeez, you want Bill Clinton on your side

October 2nd, 2008 @ 2:06 pm - by lotus · 8 Comments

Yesterday’s Bill Clinton speech did a world of good for Joe Biden. Today’s does a world of even-better for Barack Obama — and in the process, lays out the clearest explanation I’ve yet seen or read of what has happened and must happen in our money system and economy (which aren’t the same thing). The whole 3:56 is well worth your time, but that passage, the most important, begins at 1:58.

Thanks to BalloonJuice for the tape, which proves once again that — horndawg or not — this guy is our time’s leading wizard at the care and feeding of campaign crowds.

I still wish we could just anoint Bill Clinton as President for life.

And I enjoyed watching that little cutie behind his left shoulder.

I’m Ben Cole and I approve this message.

IAG, I don’t know where you found that bilge — looks like a forwarded email — but it’s 100% wrong as to Frank Raines (I didn’t get past that part before stopping to type this). Both Raines and the Obama camp say he and Obama have met only once — for maybe five minutes — and he has zero connection to the Obama campaign. ZERO.

Tim Howard is someone with whom I’m unfamiliar, so someone else can take that one on, but Jim Johnson was part of Camp Obama for exactly one week several months ago, and hasn’t been back since.

Given how bad your info/spin is on Raines and Johnson, and how careful Obama is, I seriously doubt that Howard has anything to do with his campaign either.

With all of my run-on sentences and comma splices you need my help with grading papers?

Bless you, lotus, for soldiering on in the good fight to get both your students and your readers to use their brains!

  7. lotus says:

Nope, Glenn, I meant reading the newspapers (blogs, etc.) . . . a la our masthead photo.
