Wow, BigDawg — is that you?

Ooo wee, am I impressed. For all his begrudging, eyes-on-2012 tepidity toward Obama-Biden thus far, Bill Clinton’s sure giving them his best today, passion and logic fully — and compellingly — engaged. His argument is fresh and crucial, too: that — far beyond usual, thanks to the economic crisis at home — the next vice-president will have to be our mainstay on foreign policy (and you know who’s best qualified for that):

    Okay-now he’s cooking with gas! I heard some pundit a week or so ago say that Clinton’s bit of being somewhat reserved in his enthusiasm for Obama and speaking in glowing terms about McCain’s character was pure strategy. The thinking was, he was going after the undecideds and betting that less was more. Seems to make sense when you think about it.
