Trent gets blabby (again)

Well, I know where I’ll be Sunday morning: reading Tommy Stevenson in the Tuscaloosa News. Doncha just love it when Trent Lott runs at the mouth?

Trent Lott in charge of “wild tangent” control of President McCain — how comforting. If McCain resists, could the White Citizens Council of Mississippi be called into an emergency session to back Trent up? Sounds like Trent has enough clout with McCain to get his brother-in-law a pardon from the next administration if the current one fails him.

Feature this, 3dS: someone so erratic, even Trent Lott thinks he gets out of hand. Mercy. I mean, worrying Thad Cochran is one thing, but Trent Lott?

  3. GlitterGirl says:

So, Lott is to McCain what Cheney is to Bush?…now there is a truly scary thought! Can’t wait for Sunday…tell it all brother, tell it all :>).

This will be an interesting read. I’m willing to bet this is Lott just making himself sound important, and there is no “vetting buddy” agreement with McCain. But if there is and McCain wins, maybe the folks at Butler Snow will be impressed and move him into a better office. And perhaps admit that he actually works there?

  5. GlitterGirl says:

ceegee, *this is Lott just making himself sound important*, that would certainly be in character, wouldn’t it.

It would be typical, GG, but character deficiency might be a better way to phrase it — it would be evidence of a character deficiency to brag about it this way if it were true, but given that it’s patently false that McCain has any kind of deal where he is letting Trent Lott rein him in from “wild tangents” is as comical as Dickie walking around the Bloomington Airport with an empty box, assuring the gullible press that it’s filled with “insider” information. Christmas with these two blowhards sitting around the dining room table must be a real four flusher’s competitive feast. Makes you wonder what the collective IQ of the bubbas in Tuscaloosa, listening, must have been if they didn’t deem these remarks insulting bullshit.
