A puff piece on Trent Lott

August 19th, 2008 @ 7:54 am - by lotus · 2 Comments

Today’s Clarion-Ledger runs an AP interview with Trent Lott that, among other things, mentions his work for Butler Snow on “bond and tax issues” and how he’s “struggled” with what befell his brother-in-law.

Did whomever wrote this for the AP ever hear of a journalistic device called “the follow up question”? I bet even the server at Monica’s was tempted to say, “Here’s your iced tea, and by the way, just what did you say to that Judge about the federal bench? Was it something Dickie told you to say? Did you report back to Dickie?”
