We haven’t heard from Louisiana’s “Road Home” Katrina litigation in a good long while, so it’s nice to have an update. Here’s the Fayard crowd’s latest memorandum brief arguing against their disqualification. (Crikey, Louisiana litigation is slow-paced, huh?)
Anyhow, my source predicts that “it would not be unusual for Fayard’s group to take a preemptive strike and file a petition for declaratory judgment in the 19th JDC in Baton Rouge where it might find itself assigned to a friendly judge, who will just happen to determine the contract with the state to be as good as gold.”
Okay, we hidin’ ‘n’ watchin’ . . .
I can’t wait to find out one day the payoff to Blanco and her cronies for awarding that fat contract for the Road Home to that company.
