Yesterday, Lotus posted asking for bets as to which would be decided first, Keith Shelton’s effort to get reinstated or the Judicial Performance Commission’s motion to suspend Judge DeLaughter.
And today, we have an unusual Friday decision list with exactly two decisions– Shelton got reinstated and DeLaughter got suspended.
This is the biggest coincidence since Senator Lott resigned the day before the F.B.I. search of the Scruggs Law Office.
So now who is going to decide who won Lotus’s bet? We are considering disqualifying those bettors who made predictions that were way too prescient.
The decision suspending DeLaughter is a brief order signed by Chief Justice Smith (with Diaz and Easley not joining) noting that DeLaughter was not contesting the motion and that the court by entering the order was making no decision whatever as to the merits.

Admiration is what I have for the posters of Folo. This is no coindence, its putting sunshine on those who set in places of honor who do dishonorable things in the name of Justice. Patton, Delaughter, Peters are slime bags and should be shunned by anyone ethical who are officers of The Court. These slime bags should have to get lawyers from bannana republics to defend them.

lotus, This computer that will let me get thru is over 10 years old and has not been turned on in weeks and works as if its in the office of The Mississippi Bar or The MJP. Congrats on all the great things thats happened in the last 48 hrs. There is power in numbers and Folo has the bestest posters in the whole wide world.

The Chief Justice is back after a heart attack…maybe his heart got the jolt many on the court have been trying to give him (re: Shelton)… Oh, and a reminder to all of Mr. Shelton’s friends: the system does work, more expediently if you vote in Nov. against the person up for RE-ELECTION (Smith in this case).
